The Whales Exclusive B&B
The Whales is a modern, private, elevated beach house, with 180 degree views of Wainui Beach. There are world-class waves out front and twelve other quality surf spots within five kilometres. Two guests maximum.
The property overlooks iconic Wainui Beach, caters for discerning travellers / surfers and provides the best that Gisborne has to offer.
The Whales takes its name from the adjacent site where over 50 sperm whales stranded in 1970.
Out front is a 'nationally-significant surf break' protected by the NZ Coastal Policy Statement (2010).
The in-house surf guide can also provide advice on Gisborne's cafes / restaurants, golf courses, wine / wineries, fishing, history and cultural tours.
